Public Health Fellow Coordinator
This position is part of New York State’s first Public Health Corps Fellowship Program to build public health capacity to support COVID-19 vaccination, increase preparedness for future public health emergencies, and address other public health priorities at the local health department (LHD) put on hold due to the pandemic. This is an exciting new program and we are looking for a motivated and innovative individual committed to developing the local public health workforce. The Coordinator will manage and supervise the Public Health Fellows assigned to the LHD, identify and work with community partners to provide additional support for the organizations and create experiences for the fellows, and review and complete regular reporting and communication to the State.

Community Mental Health Nurse
Tompkins County Mental Health is looking for a nurse who is interested in working with a small team of nurses, psychiatrists and psychiatric nurse practitioners to support the needs of clients with severe mental illness. Our nurses provide assessment, teach symptom management skills and perform hands on nursing skills such as long acting injectable medications, Clozapine therapy and AIMS. There is flexibility in scheduling per County policy. In lieu of a test, a score will be given based on training and experience.

Licensed Clinical Therapist
The Tompkins County Mental Health Department is looking to fill several positions with motivated and compassionate clinical team members that aspire to make a difference in their community. There are openings in our adult clinic and PROS programs for multiple clinician types including LMSWs, LCSWs, LMHCs, LCATs, LMFTs. Successful candidates work with a multidisciplinary team to provide individual and group therapy for a diverse population. TCMH values clinical training and supervision. Flexible scheduling and remote work available. We are an approved NHSC Loan Repayment Site.

Medical Director - Mental Health
There is currently one position available in the title of Medical Director - Mental Health in the Tompkins County Mental Health Department. This is a full time provisional, 40 hour per week position.
Nurse Practitioner in Psychiatry
Tompkins County Mental Health has an opening for a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner and is looking to fill this position with a qualified applicant as soon as possible. The successful candidate will work as an integral part of the multi-disciplinary team which includes psychiatrists, therapists, community mental health nurses and rehabilitation specialists to provide excellent, comprehensive behavioral health treatment to a diverse range of individuals. An interest in community mental health and working with the severe and persistently mentally ill would be welcome. TCMH prioritizes both supervision and training and these will be provided to a successful candidate so as to support their practice in the Clinic and further career development.
