Community Health Services
The Tompkins County Health Department’s Community Health Services Division is looking for qualified applicants for the following positions:
Community Health Nurse
The Community Health Nurse will be part of a dynamic team focused primarily on communicable disease surveillance and management, responsible for investigating 60+ reportable diseases in humans residing in Tompkins County (for example Hepatitis A, Measles, Pertussis, and Tuberculosis) and responding to an outbreak when it occurs. This position will include working at immunization clinics at the Health Department and in the community, as well as education related to the transmission, testing, treatment, and prevention of communicable disease to affected persons and the general public.

Full-time, 35hrs a week/$33.01 hire rate; $35.84 work rate.

Children with Special Care Needs
The Tompkins County Health Department’s Children with Special Care Needs (CSCN) Division is looking for qualified applicants for the following positions:
- Licensed Clinical Social Workers (LCSWs),
- Speech Language Pathologists (SLPs),
- Physical Therapists (PTs)
- Special Instruction Teachers to provide services in the Early Intervention Program and Preschool Services to children birth to age 4. Provide care in a team-based approach working closely with a Service Coordinator and other therapists.

Licensed Clinical Therapist
The Tompkins County Mental Health Department is looking to fill several positions with motivated and compassionate clinical team members that aspire to make a difference in their community. There are openings in our adult clinic and PROS programs for multiple clinician types including LMSWs, LCSWs, LMHCs, LCATs, LMFTs. Successful candidates work with a multidisciplinary team to provide individual and group therapy for a diverse population. TCMH values clinical training and supervision. Flexible scheduling and remote work available. We are an approved NHSC Loan Repayment Site.

Medical Director - Mental Health
There is currently one position available in the title of Medical Director - Mental Health in the Tompkins County Mental Health Department. This is a full time provisional, 40 hour per week position.
Nurse Practitioner in Psychiatry
Tompkins County Mental Health has an opening for a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner and is looking to fill this position with a qualified applicant as soon as possible. The successful candidate will work as an integral part of the multi-disciplinary team which includes psychiatrists, therapists, community mental health nurses and rehabilitation specialists to provide excellent, comprehensive behavioral health treatment to a diverse range of individuals. An interest in community mental health and working with the severe and persistently mentally ill would be welcome. TCMH prioritizes both supervision and training and these will be provided to a successful candidate so as to support their practice in the Clinic and further career development. Candidates of all levels of experience are encouraged to apply. We are an approved NHSC Loan Repayment Site.
