A "5 A Day Challenge" was created by the Tompkins County employees' wellness committee as an awareness builder and incentive program for county employees. The concept and format of the county's program is based on the 5 A Day Challenge program developed by the National Cancer Institute (www.5aday.gov) and the Produce for Better Health Foundation (www.5aday.com).

Tompkins County's 5 A Day Challenge is an easy-to-run incentive program that everyone can take part in. At the program's web site you'll find just about everything you need to run the program at your worksite, including 5 A Day background, how-to-play instructions, scorecards you can download, and nutritional tips and recipes. Be sure to contact me if you have any questions.
