The Tompkins County Office of Human Rights is committed to ending all forms of unlawful discrimination in the workplace. This includes discrimination based on upon age, race, religion, color, national origin, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, military status, sex, disability, pregnancy-related condition, domestic violence victim status, genetic predisposition or carrier status, familial status, or marital status; employees who file complaints of discrimination are protected against retaliation by their employers.
In addition to offering training workshops for County staff and local organizations, OHR provides the following resources to help support employers in creating a workplace that is free from all forms of discrimination. Resources created by organizations other than OHR are noted, below.
