Health Promotion heads to Capitol Hill

Congressional Resolution supports research

 

On Feb 14, a Resolution (No. 11) was introduced in the US Senate, "Expressing the sense of Congress to fully use the powers of the Federal Government to enhance the science base required to more fully develop the field of health promotion and disease prevention..."

The American Journal of Health Promotion is advocating for the Resolution. A similar Resolution will be introduced to the House soon.

Both NY Senators and Rep Hinchey are likely to support the respective Resolutions.
