The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) has grants available to State and Local government, non-profits, and educational institutions. The USDA had a prior program allocating $2,600,000 for the “Rural Business Opportunity Grant,” which funded local governments that produced innovative strategies for attracting private investment in manufacturing.
Previously, $25 million was established for a competitive grant program that encouraged local governments to institutionalize proven innovative conservation technologies and/or approaches. USDA grants may be browsed and applied for via grants.gov.
