OUTDOOR HEAT SAFETY:

Drink plenty of water, apply sunscreen regularly, dress in lightweight and light-colored clothing, and take breaks in the shade. Learn more.

Cooling Centers are air-conditioned facilities where you can go to cool down during extreme heat, such as libraries, community centers, and malls. The New York State Department of Health collects information that is voluntarily submitted by local health departments and emergency management offices. A list of locations serving as cooling centers in Tompkins County can be found here.
