The Tompkins County Finance Department invites interested bidders to attend the Real Property Tax Foreclosure Auction to be held on Thursday, June 29 at the Tompkins County Whole Health building’s Rice Room at 55 Brown Road, Ithaca. Bidders may begin registering at 6pm. At 7pm, following a review of terms and conditions, the auction will begin, and each property will be sold in consecutive order.
This auction was rescheduled from an earlier date in anticipation of guiding legislation expected from the New York State Legislature following a recent U.S. Supreme Court Case regarding property tax foreclosure auctions. Future changes will be communicated in advance of any auction.
These foreclosed upon properties are being made available via auction following delinquent taxes unpaid as of the January 13, 2023, deadline.
