March 17th Meeting of Tompkins County Legislature Closed to Public

The Tompkins County Legislature will hold its regularly scheduled meeting on Tuesday March 17th, 2020 at 5:30pm. Out of concern for the health and safety of the public and in order to prevent the spread of COVID-19, the meeting will be closed to the public pursuant to Governor Cuomo’s Executive Order No. 202.1. That order suspends the requirements of the Open Meetings Law to allow for public meetings without permitting in public in-person access to the meetings.

The Legislature encourages interested members of the public to watch the live broadcast of the meeting. The Legislature still wants to hear from the public and urges members of the public to send comments to the e-mail address below. All comments received will be given the Legislature’s full consideration. We thank the public for its understanding during this challenging time.

Per the Executive Order and longstanding Legislature practice, the public may view and listen to the Legislature meetings both in real-time and as archived through our website, at the Legislature meeting portal http://tompkinscountyny.iqm2.com/Citizens/Default.aspx.

To submit public comments that will be shared with the Legislature, please email Legislature@tompkins-co.org.
