As we close out this year’s National Nurses Week, I want to share a heartfelt thank you to the nurses in Tompkins County. Nurses make a difference in the lives of so many community members and serve on the front lines of our health care system.
I think of the nurses at our county departments, our local hospital, not-for-profit organizations, healthcare providers, local schools, and colleges, all of whom serve an important role in the health of our community. Nurses serve as a lifeline not just during the COVID-19 pandemic, but every day. I am in awe of their dedication to those who they care for. I hope that everyone in Tompkins County will join me in recognizing our nurses.
Thank you for the lives you touch, the care you provide, and the difference that you make.
