The Tompkins County Health Department is alerting the community that walk-ins will be welcome at the Children’s Vaccination Clinics (ages 5-11) to be held today and tomorrow. Additionally, TCHD is announcing a COVID-19 Pfizer vaccine booster clinic for youth ages 12-17 years on Saturday, January 22 from 2:00pm – 6:00pm, in addition to the Moderna booster clinic for ages 18 and older to be held in the morning.
WALK-INS WELCOME: Children’s vaccination clinics for ages 5-11 are being held in partnership with local school districts over the next two weeks. Registration links were sent directly by school districts to parents and caregivers via email. Children’s vaccination clinics for today, January 19 from 3:30pm-5:30pm at Enfield Elementary School and tomorrow January 20 from 3:30pm-5:30pm at Beverly J. Martin Elementary School will be accepting walk-ins. Continue to check the TCHD Vaccination Clinics webpage for updated information.
Pfizer COVID-19 Vaccine Booster Clinic

The Pfizer booster dose is authorized for all individuals 12-17 years old who received the Pfizer initial vaccine series at least five months ago. For more information about the Pfizer vaccine for the youth population, refer to the TCHD website and CDC website.
A registration link for appointments is available on the TCHD website. A parent or guardian must be present and give consent for any minor. Please bring a photo ID or a parent/guardian can confirm identity, your vaccination card, and expect to wait 15 minutes for observation following your injection.
The COVID-19 vaccine is free of charge. Free transportation is also available to vaccination clinics. Present proof of your vaccination appointment to ride any TCAT bus free of charge. Alternative transportation arrangements can be arranged by calling 2-1-1 (1.877.211.8667) during regular business hours, Monday-Friday, 8:30am-5pm.
COVID-19 vaccination and booster doses are also available at NYS sites and local pharmacies.
