Tompkins County WIC Program (Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants and Children) is open every business day during the government shutdown. The USDA (United States Department of Agriculture) is working with states to ensure that benefits are received.
WIC provides nutritious foods, nutrition education, and referrals to community services to women who are pregnant and post-partum, and their children under five years of age. Breastfeeding support is available. To view income guidelines and apply for WIC, click here.
