How Federal Transportation Dollars Are Spent in Tompkins County
The Ithaca-Tompkins County Transportation Council (ITCTC) is pleased to announce the availability of the federal fiscal year (FFY) 2023 - 2024 List of Obligated Projects. The ITCTC maintains a five-year program of transportation projects that are scheduled to use federal funding. This five-year program is called the Transportation Improvement Program, TIP for short. All federally funded surface transportation projects are required to be on the TIP in order to be eligible for funding.
To ensure that the public has an accurate understanding of how federal funds are being spent on transportation projects, federal regulations include a requirement that the organizations responsible for approving the Transportation Improvement Program, publish an annual listing of project obligations. The links below include a descriptive report and the listing of obligated Federal Highway and Federal Transit Administration funds.
