WRC Cayuga Lake Monitoring Partnership
The Partnership meets on the second Tuesday of the month
from 4 to 5 PM at
Cornell Cooperative Extension of Tompkins County
615 Willow Avenue, Ithaca NY
The Cayuga Lake Monitoring Partnership was originally formed to develop a plan for tracking water quality in the southern end of Cayuga Lake. Since the creation of that plan (in 2008), the Monitoring Partnership has expanded its mission to become a forum where agencies and organizations that monitor the health of Cayuga Lake meet regularly to share the results of their work and to explore ways to improve and expand monitoring efforts.
Current tasks involve the Cayuga Lake Modeling Project: DEC Website (http://www.dec.ny.gov/lands/88250.html#TMDL) Cornell University Website (http://energyandsustainability.fs.cornell.edu/util/clmp/default.cfm ).
In addition to members of the Water Resources Council, the Cayuga Lake Monitoring Partnership includes representatives of Cornell University’s Lake Source Cooling monitoring team, Cayuga Lake Watershed Network, Community Science Institute, Finger Lakes Institute, Floating Classroom, Ithaca Area Wastewater Treatment Plant, and several researchers from Cornell University.
