Call for Photography of Paddlers on Cayuga Lake to Support the Blueway Trail

The Department of Planning and Sustainability is seeking photographs of kayaks, canoes, and other paddle-craft on Cayuga Lake to feature in marketing materials for the forthcoming Cayuga Lake Blueway Trail.

The Cayuga Lake Blueway Trail is a network of public sites where paddlers can launch personal watercraft to enjoy our unique Finger Lake. A website, map, and printed collateral materials will be produced to promote the Blueway Trail.

Tompkins County received grant funding to implement the Cayuga Lake Blueway Trail. The County is working with municipal partners along the lake to make site improvements at various locations and develop marketing materials.

We are looking for current pictures of people enjoying the lake using kayaks, canoes, stand-up paddleboards, and other non-motorized boats. Images of individuals and groups are welcome.

Please submit your pictures and attribution to nhelmholdt@tompkins-co.org
by December 1, 2019.

All submissions will be reviewed by County staff. You will be notified by email if your picture is chosen for placement in Blueway Trail materials.
