Reimagining Public Safety Collaborative Announces Two Upcoming Forums

Tompkins County and the City of Ithaca are announcing two upcoming community forums as part of the Reimagining Public Safety Collaborative between the two municipalities. Tompkins County Mental Health Commissioner and Public Health Director Frank Kruppa will hold a forum on the County’s Mental Health Emergency and Crisis Response on Thursday December 17th at 12:30pm. City and County officials will hold a community town hall Q&A Friday December 18th at 5pm. These additional forums are being announced following a series of public forums to engage community voices, and a December 11th town hall with County and City officials.

Members of the public are encouraged to register for the zoom webinars to ask questions live. Both forums will be live streamed and archived to the County’s YouTube channel.

Thursday December, 17th, 12:30pm – Mental Health Emergency and Crisis Response
Tompkins County Mental Health Commissioner and Public Health Director Frank Kruppa will hold a forum on the County’s Mental Health Emergency and Crisis Response and answer questions from the public.

Friday December 18th, 5:00pm – County & City Officials Town Hall Q&A

City of Ithaca Mayor Svante Myrick, County Administrator Jason Molino, Tompkins County Sheriff Derek Osborne, and City of Ithaca Police Chief Dennis Nayor will participate in the town hall moderated by Dominique Johnson, Senior Director of Community Engagement from the Center for Policing Equity.
