The Tompkins County Sheriff's Office provides background checks for our agency. This means any other agency records will not be part of our standard background check. Background checks are $10.00 per check, in cash, and processed on-site; no appointment is necessary.
We require a valid ID and a list of names that you go by or would have gone by in the past. Please check with the organization or business that is requiring a background check before coming in; occasionally they will require a more extensive background check.
