The New York State Council on the Arts (NYSCA) awards grants to non-profits and municipalities in New York that support a broad array of cultural activity that fully represents the diversity of the state and that the supported events are accessible to the broadest possible public. Grants are made in the following areas (click each for more information): Architecture and Design; Facilities; Arts Education; Dance; Electronic Media and Film; Folk Arts; Individual Artists; Literature; Museum; Music; Presenting – Multi and Interdisciplinary Arts; Regional Economic Development; Special Arts Services; State and Local Partnerships; Decentralization; Theatre; and Visual Arts.

Grants from the Council have a minimum of $2,500 and are usually matching grants (1:1).  For more details about eligibility requirements, click here.

To apply for NYSCA funding, all organizations are required to complete an Organization Info Form, Organization Budget Form, and a Cultural Data Project Funder Report. First time applicants should start here.
