Most municipalities in Tompkins County have programs for recycling Christmas trees. Contact your city, town, or village for more information, or check the list that can be found on the Solid Waste Division website,

Christmas trees and wreaths can also be brought to the yard waste area of the Tompkins County Recycling and Solid Waste Center (160 Commercial Ave. in Ithaca) at no cost. Please remove all decorations.
