Resisting Arrest/Disorderly Conduct

On January 4, 2020 at 2:36 AM hours, Tompkins County Sheriff's Deputies had conducted a traffic stop in a driveway on Mineah Road in the Town of Dryden.  While conducting their investigation, an uninvolved male, Alexander S. MOSHER, age 30 of Ithaca, NY approached the deputy on foot.  MOSHER confronted the deputy and starting acting disorderly.  Deputies attempted to rationalize with MOSHER and ask him to leave, however MOSHER refused and continued to curse at the deputy and make lewd comments.  The deputy attempted to take MOSHER into custody and MOSHER physically resisted arrest.
MOSHER was charged with Disorderly Conduct (Violation), Unlawful Possession of Marihuana (Violation), Criminal Tampering in the Third Degree (Class B Misdemeanor) and Resisting Arrest (Class A Misdemeanor).  MOSHER was released on an appearance ticket ordering him to appear in the Town of Dryden Court on January 13, 2020 at 5:00 PM.
