Narcotics Arrest

On January 27, 2020 at 12:16 AM, Tompkins County Sheriff's Deputies conducted a traffic stop on a Chevrolet Impala on Coy Glen Road, Town of Ithaca for an equipment violation.  During the course of their investigation, deputies interviewed the driver, Scott A. GREENE, age 52 of Cuyler, NY and later conducted a probable cause search after observing a smoking pipe inside.  The search resulted in locating drugs (suspected Methamphetamine) and drug paraphernalia. 
 
GREENE was charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Seventh Degree (Class A Misdemeanor), Criminally Using Drug Paraphernalia in the Second Degree (Class B Misdemeanor), Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle in the Second Degree (Unclassified Misdemeanor), Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle (Traffic Infraction) and Inoperable Plate Lamps (Traffic Infraction).  GREENE was released on an appearance ticket ordering him to appear in the Town of Ithaca Court on February 4, 2020 at 9:00 AM.
