Narcotics Arrest

On May 8th, 2019 at around 9:09 PM, Tompkins County Sheriff's Deputies conducted a traffic stop on a green Nissan Titan on Warren Road in the Town of Lansing for an equipment violation.  Deputies interviewed the driver, James J. Brink, age 43 of Asbury Road, Lansing.  During the course of their investigation, deputies conducted a search of the vehicle and discovered a quantity of methamphetamine and a methamphetamine snorting straw.

Brink was arrested and charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Seventh Degree (Class A Misdemeanor), No Front Plate (Traffic Infraction) and Inoperable Plate Lamps (Traffic Infraction).  Brink was released on appearance tickets and traffic tickets and released on police bail ordering him to return to the Town of Lansing Court on May 28th, 2019 at 5:00 PM.
