Larceny Arrest

On November 25, 2019 at 4:21 AM, Tompkins County Sheriff's Deputies responded to Stone Hedges Country Club located at 549 Stevens Road in the Town of Groton for a theft complaint.  Deputies arrived to find gasoline taken from the pumps and the security system disabled and damaged.  During the course of their investigation and use of video surveillance, Deputies identified the suspect in the theft as Daniel P. SAMSON, age 35 of Groton, N.Y. 
On December 18, 2019 at 9:30 AM, Deputies arrested SAMSON and charged him with Petit Larceny - 2 counts (Class A Misdemeanor), Criminal Mischief in the Fourth Degree - 2 counts (Class A Misdemeanor), Criminal Possession of Stolen Property in the Fifth Degree - 2 counts (Class A Misdemeanor) and Possession of Burglar Tools (Class A Misdemeanor).  At the request of Town of Groton Court, Deputies issued an appearance ticket to Samson ordering him to return to the Town of Groton Court at a later date.
