On February 16th, 2020 at 3:44 AM, Tompkins County Sheriff's Deputies responded to a business on Five Mile Drive in the Town of Ithaca for a report of a suspicious person wandering around the business.  Prior to their arrival, the caller reported that the male got into a vehicle that was in the lot and had rammed it into another vehicle that was in their lot.  The male suspect had fled prior to deputies arrival.  During the course of the investigation, Deputies learned that a male matching that description showed up at Walmart in the City of Ithaca and was acting similarly to what was reported in this case.  With the assistance of the Ithaca Police Department, Deputies confirmed that the subject at Walmart was the suspect in this case using a show-up identification.

The male was identified as Casey T. Reeves, age 32 of Ithaca, NY.  Reeves was charged with two counts of Criminal Mischief in the Third Degree (Class E Felony), Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Seventh Degree (Class A Misdemeanor), Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle (Traffic Infraction) and Leaving the Scene of a Property Damage Accident (Traffic Infraction).  Reeves was released on appearance ticket ordering him to return to the Town of Ithaca Cort on February 27th, 2020 at 9:00 AM.
