DWI Accident Arrest

On April 6th, 2018 at 8:33 PM, Tompkins County Sheriff’s Deputies along with Lansing Fire Department responded to the intersection of Van Ostrand Road and Newman Road for a reported personal injury motor vehicle accident.  Upon arrival, Deputies located the vehicle; which had collided into a tree, and also spoke with the driver, identified as Katie E. Pearsall, age 26 of Moravia, NY.  During the course of the investigation, deputies observed signs of impairment on Pearsall.  Deputies conducted a DWI Investigation which led to Pearsalls’ arrest for Driving While Intoxicated.

Pearsall was charged with Failure to Keep Right (Violation), Driving While Intoxicated (Unclassified Misdemeanor) and Driving While Intoxicated with a BAC of .08% or Greater (Unclassified Misdemeanor).  Pearsall was released on traffic tickets ordering her appearance at the Town of Lansing Court at a later date.
