DWI Arrest

On February 17th, 2019 at about 12:36 AM, the Tompkins County Sheriff's Office responded to a private address in Town of the Dryden on a report of a dispute not in progress. On scene, deputies were unable to locate anyone at the residence. 911 dispatchers reached the caller by phone who indicated she was now near the Village of Dryden Police Department at 16 South Street. Deputies determined that the subject had been driving for recreational purposes and was not immediately fleeing from a domestic dispute or emergency. Deputies determined that the subject was impaired by alcohol. Subsequent to a DWI investigation, the subject was found to be intoxicated. She was identified as CHRISTINA L BROTHERTON (Age 34 of Dryden). BROTHERTON was charged with Driving While Intoxicated, Driving While Intoxicated With 0.08% BAC or More. She was released and issued an appearance ticket. She is set to appear in the Town of Dryden Court on March 18th, 2019 at 5:00PM. An investigation into the dispute is ongoing. No further information will be provided at this time.
