Larceny Arrest

On January 28th, 2019 at about 5:20 PM, the Tompkins County Sheriff's Office responded to Ulta Beauty located at 40 Catherwood Road in the Village of Lansing for two separate larceny reports. One report was an incident occurring on January 9th, 2019 and the other on January 18th, 2019.

Staff members report observing the same female suspect on each occasion steal from the store by concealing items on her person and exiting past all points of sale without paying for the items. After presenting a still shot photograph on social media, several tips were provided to the Sheriff's Office that helped to identify the suspect.

Deputies confirmed the suspect's identity as KRISTIINA A HEPTIG (age 59 of Ithaca). Heptig was charged with two counts of Petit Larceny. She was issued an appearance ticket and is set to appear in the Town of Lansing Court on February 14th, 2019 at 3:00 PM.

The Sheriff's Office would like to thank the public for their assistance in this case.
