Campaign Yard Signs Can Be Recycled

Wednesday, November 7, 2018

Now that Election Day is over, those political campaign yard signs - whether made of plastic film or Coroplast® - can be recycled in Tompkins County.

Please remove the wire sign holders or stakes before recycling the signs. The metal sign holders and stakes can be recycled for free in the scrap metal area of the Recycling and Solid Waste Center, at 160 Commercial Ave. in Ithaca.

The signs themselves can be recycled as rigid plastics at the RSWC free of charge. Please do not place them in your curbside bin.
