United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA)

The United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) focuses funding for environmental conservation, clean-up, and alternative energy sources.  EPA competitive grants can be sought by State and Local governments, non-profits, and educational institutions, and applied for via grants.gov.

In a previous year, the EPA put $3,000,000 up for award to local governments and non-profits who advanced energy efficiency and clean energy policies in cost effective ways. That same year they also offered $180,000 to local governments and non-profits for the implementation of projects that increased recycling of municipal waste and industrial materials.
