Tompkins County has announced that The Legacy by ARDM Enterprises has been awarded the contract to operate the café, bar, and gift shop at the Ithaca / Tompkins International Airport. The Legacy by ARDM is a Black owned company local to the Ithaca area and will operate “The Legacy,” encompassing breakfast, lunch, and dinner options for travelers through the airport and other customers in the area.
The first day of operations for The Legacy by ARDM will be Monday, November 8th, with a ribbon cutting at 4:30pm (register here). The Legacy by ARDM plans to offer a European-style breakfast, lunch buffet, and classic dinner options with a southern touch. CEO of ARDM Enterprises, Sybil Sloan stated, “We’re excited for this opportunity. We’ve been building our business here in Ithaca & Tompkins County over the past several years and this is a chance for us to grow and to offer an excellent menu to travelers coming in and out of our incredible airport.” Sloan continued, “Our vision is to provide a unique dining experience for travelers and other customers, matching the incredible airport that we’ll be operating in. Our team is excited to serve our community and travelers!”
Interim Airport Director Roxan Noble stated, “We’re so excited for what this team has to offer, the planned menus and options available will be perfect for travelers through our airport. The atmosphere we strive to create is one that makes people feel comfortable in our space and inspired by all that Tompkins County has to offer, including our local aviation history. The Legacy by ARDM will be another inspiring aspect of our community.”
