Hospital and university- based residential camp on the health professions. This health careers exploration camp introduces young people to the health professions, the college admissions process, and life on the hospital and college campus settings. Through fun, interactive hands-on workshops and educational presentations, campers are introduced to a variety of health care professions. Camp will be held at SUNY Upstate Medical University in Syracuse. Camp is a joint collaboration between the Central NY AHEC, SUNY Upstate Medical University, and Excellus BlueCross BlueShield.

Program Information

Students entering grades 11 or 12 in the fall of 2012

Ages: 17 to 18

Schedule: July 16 – 20, including both day and evening activities. Students stay in a college dormitory.

Fees: $350 per student inclusive of all costs. Limited scholarships available based on financial need of family, call for information.
