Ithaca Media Arts, located at 1458 Slaterville Road, Ithaca. Now in our 4th year offering creative, fun-filled summer camp programs in Lego Animation, Video, Photography, Claymation Animation, Filmmaking, Sound, TV News, Robotics, Collectible Card Games & More! Working in small teams, indoors (air conditioned) and outdoors, campers have fun being creative! Our challenging, thought-provoking camp programs combine imagination, science, a bit of acting, drawing, music, teamwork, and the thrill of making awesome animations and live action video! Children and teens use real cameras, camcorders, microphones, kid-safe lighting equipment, and computers to edit and mix. Outdoor fun, too! Plus free screenings of camper creations at Cinemapolis Movie Theater! AFTERNOON RECREATION: Outdoor fun, games and supervised play (badminton, frisbee, etc.) and weather permitting, swim at the Ellis Hollow pool. Join together with Ithaca Arts campers for afternoon recreation! Flexible times, start at 12:30 (after Media Arts Explorer or Morning Academy) and stay until 2:30, 4:30 or 6:00pm. Campers make projects utilizing all the awesome things they learn and do in: ANIMATION, VIDEO/FILMMAKING, PHOTOGRAPHY and AUDIO! Focus on short film projects using a variety of techniques.
