IC3 Summer Camp 2012 offers children entering grades K-5 a lively learning environment in which to play, create, and explore. The camp will be held in a spacious environment located at the Ithaca Montessori School, 12 Ascot Place, Ithaca, NY off Triphammer Rd. The camp setting is nicely tucked away in a wooded area allowing children to frolic in the beautiful days of summer. Campers will have full use of an outdoor play area complete with a climbing structure. We also have daily access to a full size gymnasium. Each week is a different theme! Children have the opportunity to attend weekly or enjoy camp for the entire summer. Campers will take nature walks, play water games, prepare healthy snacks, make arts & crafts, host guests from the community, attend Kiddstuff performances at the Hangar Theatre, take weekly swim trips to Taughannock State Park, and go on a variety field trips related to the weekly theme! The program will run weekdays, 7:30 AM—5:30 PM, from June 25th through August 31st. The program will be closed July 4th. You may register your child by the week or for the entire summer. Daily snacks and beverages provided; campers bring their own bag lunch. Week 1, June 25-29: Go Green – Kick off the summer and learn to go green! Visit the recycling center and Cayuga Compost. Make crafts out of recycled materials and hold a bazaar! Week 2, July 2-6: Animal Lovers – Learn about different animals and how to take care of them. Take a trip to a local farm and veterinary clinic. Visit the SPCA. Explore the Montezuma Wildlife Refuge. Week 3, July 9-13: Outdoor Adventure – Get ready for a week of surprises, fun, and outdoor exploration! Visit the Cayuga Nature Center. Participate in a scavenger hunt. Hike the Finger Lakes National Forest. Week 4, July 16-20: A Bug’s Life – Investigate some of nature’s tiniest creatures and their habitats. Create your own bugs. Become an entomologist! Week 5, July 23-27: Explore Science – Become a scientist! Visit the Rochester Museum and Science Center. Make ice cream with liquid nitrogen. Watch a banana hammer a nail. Participate in a science fair. Week 6, July 31-August 3: Carnival Craze – Enjoy carnival games, juggling with Nate the Great, tie-dyeing, eating contests, a bounce house, and clown around with Crossroads the Clown. Week 7, August 6-10: IC3’s Got Talent – Come one, come all and show off your talent! Participate in a talent show. Experience improvisation with the Tin Can Fantasy Factory. Week 8, August 13-17: Splash Zone – Beat the heat with lots of fun water activities! It’s time to get wet through water games, water balloons, Slip & Slide, and more. Take a trip to the Seneca Lake State Park Sprayground! Week 9, August 20-24: IC3’s Kitchen – Explore fun with food. Learn how to decorate a cake and make pizza. Hold a bake sale. Create your own restaurant and learn how to become a chef! Week 10, August 27-31: Best of the Best – Wrap up the summer with our favorite summer fun activities! Choose your favorite crafts and games. The last hurrah to kick off a great school year!

Fees: $200/week ($160 for wk of July 2-6), 10% discount if registered for all 10 weeks.
