Sign up for a week or the whole summer! Each summer, the Hangar Theatre Next Generation School of Theatre offers elementary, middle, and high school students an unforgettable summer of training and fun in the performing arts! With classes in acting, singing, and dancing, the Next Generation School creates a safe environment where campers are encouraged to develop new skills and friendships. Workshop instructors are professional artists who work nationally in the performing arts and teach the most current techniques in their disciplines. Classes begin in July and run through August. All participants will be case as part of our KIDDSTUFF production of the hit musical. Led by professional Hangar artists, this mixed ages cast (ages 8 – 18) will sing, dance and act their way through the whimsical world of Dr. Seuss. Days will be filled with hands-on opportunities to ply their skills, culminating with 6 public performances at the Hangar Theatre with all the trimmings. Come join the fun! Fees: $140 for half day (one class) per week; $280 for full day (two classes) per week; $400 for “Seussical” only; $1,320 for full day all summer AND Seussical! Financial aid is available; application must be submitted with registration form for consideration.
