This program is designed for teens 13-17 years. The program will train teens to become outstanding camp counselors and improve their abilities to create memorable moments for youth that attend the camps. Each 2-week session will offer different intensive skills building, with regards to specialized training and certification in First Aid, CPR, Water Safety, and children. Training on time management, nutrition, sports and games, nature study, creative design, safety and security, and counselor responsibility training rounds out the program. Successful completion will award the teen with a certification of completion, letter of recommendation, and certifications in Red Cross trainings, and recognition of volunteer hours for school or organizations. The CIT program is conducted in two-week sessions and is limited to 8 teens per session.

Program Information

Ages: 13 to 17

Schedule: Two-week sessions; June 25 – August 17; 9:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.

Fees: $180 for members, $255 for non-members.
