STONEYBROOK FARM SUMMER HORSE DAY CAMP
Stoneybrook Farm 2012 Summer Equine Education Series We have a very exciting series of programs planned for summer 2012 suitable for all (youth) ages and abilities! In an effort to offer fresh experiences with horses, I have been collaborating with our instructors, students and professionals to come up with what I think is a very organized, comprehensive horse education program that includes riding lessons and lots of fun. Each week of the summer, Mornings offer instruction in hunt seat and many other disciplines. In the afternoon, students will be learning, through instruction and hands on application, many topics to do with all aspects of horses. The Program will include such topics as: Barn Management- how to feed and care for your horses and their environment. First Aid and Regular Veterinary Care Horse Careers Riding Disciplines- from hunt seat to driving and everything in between Training horses and Natural horsemanship All about horses- Breeds, colors, conformation and suitabilities Interscholastic Equestrian team riding information and opportunities Yoga for riders Games on horseback Learning horse language Drawing horses Horse Tack knowledge- from saddles to bits and how to care for your tack Team building skills and horses We have invited other professionals to do demonstrations in their horse fields as well.
