Filtration/ ventilation is not protection from the dangers of secondhand smoke.

Though legislation is pending that would allow smoking in bars and bowling alleys that install filtration equipment, there are is no evidence that filtration will reduce the health risks of secondhand tobacco smoke and there is considerable evidence that it will not.
