These violations generally involve the food source and condition,
food cooking and storage temperatures, sanitary practices, water
and sewage, and the use of poisonous materials.

Potentially hazardous foods were at improper temperatures. Cooked chicken was observed at 120ºF for customer service. The product was served in less than two hours.
A re-inspection was not conducted due to the short duration of the event.
Lao Village Ithaca Festival, the Commons, C-Ithaca
Potentially hazardous foods were at improper temperatures. Chicken bamboo and a tofu dish were observed at 134-140ºF. The products were rapidly re-heated to 165ºF prior to return to service.

Enough refrigerated storage was not maintained so that potentially hazardous foods were kept at or below 45ºF during cold holding. Mashed potatoes, cut tomatoes, shredded cheese, and marinara sauce were observed at 49-56ºF. The products were voluntarily discarded during the inspection.
Toxic chemicals were improperly stored. Medication was observed stored above a sandwich cooler and insect spray was observed stored on the ice machine. The products were moved during the inspection.

Just Desserts, C-Ithaca
Accurate thermometers were not available to evaluate potentially hazardous foods. A probe thermometer on-site at the time of the inspection measured 10ºF to high. The thermometer was re-calibrated during the inspection.
Enough refrigerated storage was not maintained so that all potentially hazardous foods were stored below 45ºF. Eggs, mozzarella cheese, sausage, cream cheese, and half & half were observed at 53ºF.
The products were voluntarily discarded during the inspection. A repair person was called.

Pizza Aroma, C-Ithaca
Enough refrigerated storage equipment was not properly maintained so that potentially hazardous foods were stored at 45ºF or below. Feta cheese, sliced tomatoes, and mozzarella cheese were observed at 50-53ºF. The feta cheese was voluntarily discarded. The remaining products were moved to a functioning cooler.
