Health Alert: TCEH Seeks Info About a Dog Bite Near The Ithaca Commons

Tompkins County Whole Health’s Environmental Health Division (EH) must locate a dog that bit a person on Saturday, September 21, 2024, at approximately 11 PM, at the corner of North Cayuga and East State Street/MLK Jr. Street, near the Cornell Store (102 E. State St.) on The Commons, in the City of Ithaca. The dog was inside a parked black SUV whose window was rolled down with no people inside.

Health Alert: TCEH Seeks Info About a Dog Bite (N. Cayuga St, Ithaca)

Tompkins County Whole Health’s Environmental Health Division (EH) must locate a dog that bit a person on Tuesday, September 17, 2024, at approximately 8:15 PM, near 920 North Cayuga Street, near the intersection with Jay Street, in the City of Ithaca. For additional clarification of the location, the business “Hair Etc. Salon” is located near the intersection where the incident occurred.

COVID-19 Update: COVID-19 Vaccines Updated for 2024-2025

Tompkins County Whole Health (TCWH) is sharing with the community that the FDA has recently approved updated COVID-19 Vaccines for the respiratory illness season (approximately September 2024 – May 2025). The vaccines are now available, with pharmacies acting as the primary provider of the vaccine. The Moderna, Pfizer-BioNTech, and Novavax vaccines offer updated protection against COVID-19.

Masks Still Required at Ithaca Tompkins International Airport

As is mandated on public transportation in New York State, masks continue to be required at the Ithaca Tompkins International Airport. This mandate is unaffected by recent federal-level decisions or rulings on mask requirements.
