Health Alert: Boil Water Order for West Danby Water District

TC Whole Health is alerting the customers of the West Danby Water District to a Boil Water Order for the water system due to a loss of pressure. Bring water to a rolling boil, boil for one minute, and cool before using. Customers can also use bottled water. Boiled or bottled water should be used for drinking, making ice, washing dishes, brushing teeth, and preparing food until further notice.

COVID-19 Vaccine Recommendations Ages 65+, Immune Compromised

Seasonal trends indicate that cases of COVID-19 tend to spike in early spring, as well as early fall. Adults ages 65 and older, as well as those who are moderately to severely immune compromised, are eligible to receive a second dose of the updated COVID-19 vaccine six months after their first dose. The updated vaccine was released in September 2024.

Highlights of the 2/4/2025 Meeting of the Tompkins County Legislature

A proclamation was read recognizing the significance of February as Black History Month in Tompkins County. Special honors were given to local Black historical figures: civil rights leader Dr. Dorothy Cotton, Pulitzer Prize winner Alex Haley, Nobel Prize winner Toni Morrison, and Ruth Carol Taylor (the first black flight attendant in the United States), among others.

Support Mental Health and Substance Use Prevention in Tompkins County

Highlights of the 01/21/2025 Meeting of the Tompkins Co. Legislature
