This position is based at New Roots Charter School, a tuition-free, public charter high school located in downtown Ithaca, recognized by the US Department of Education as a Green Ribbon School. New Roots is open to any interested student in the region regardless of district of residence. In the current school year, 59% of New Roots students come from low-income families.

The Climate Justice Fellow position is within the EarthForce Program at New Roots, the umbrella program that includes our School Farm, Youth Ecological Restoration Corps, Youth Entrepreneurship Market program (YEM), and work-based learning/internships. The position will include conducting research, connecting with community resources, collaborating with New Roots faculty and program staff, working directly with students, and developing Green Energy programming.
