All calls and tablet correspondence made from the Tompkins County Jail inmate phones and tablets may be monitored and are recorded. There are telephones and tablets placed in each Housing Unit for inmate use. The phones are computer operated and require the receiving party to accept a toll charge in order for the call to go through. The Tompkins County Sheriff's Office is not involved in the billing process and should not be contacted for billing questions.
