On its Bicentennial Day, Cornell Recognizes Tompkins County

and elected officials for their collaborative town-gown efforts. The presentation led off a regional town-gown conference hosted by Cornell Community Relations. Topics including housing, K-12 collaborations, town-gown business incubators, the Upstate economy, and campus-area quality-of-life issues in Central/Western New York, and elsewhere.


Speakers included representatives from Princeton University, the Borough of State College, Pa.,
the University of Rochester, the University of Buffalo, Hobart and William Smith Colleges, Ithaca College, the City of Geneva, Tompkins Cortland Community College, Cornell University, the Downtown Ithaca, Alliance, City of Ithaca, and Ithaca Neighborhood Housing Services.
