Sexual Abuse Arrest

On October 16, 2019, The Tompkins County Sheriff's Office Criminal Investigations Division received a report of a possible sexual abuse.  The Investigations Division promptly followed up on the sexual abuse complaint, which alleged an adult was having sexual contact with a person less than eleven (11) years old.  Through further interviews and investigation into the case, the Sheriff's Office identified the suspect as Remanu J. PHILLIPS, age 29 of Newfield, NY.

PHILLIPS was arrested and charged with Sexual Abuse in the First Degree, a class D Felony.  PHILLIPS was arraigned in the Town of Ithaca Court and released by the court.  PHILLIPS is due back in the Town of Ithaca Court at a later date.
