
On July 12, 2019 at approximately 8:30 PM deputies from the Tompkins County Sheriff’s Office responded to 301 Maple Avenue in the Town of Ithaca for a reported robbery that had just occurred. Deputies arrived on scene and met with the victims, who stated that they had just been robbed at gunpoint. During the robbery, U.S. Currency was taking from one of the two victims.
On July 16, 2019 at about 12:00 PM, investigators from the Tompkins County Sheriff’s Office arrested Caleb Kuhns, age 18 of Danby, NY, as a result of the ongoing investigation. Kuhns has been charged with Robbery in the First Degree a Class B Felony. Kuhns was brought before Judge Klein at the Town of Ithaca Court for an arraignment and has been remanded to the Tompkins County Jail in lieu of $10,000 cash bail or $20,000 bail bond.
The Tompkins County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Ithaca City Police Department and the investigation is still ongoing.
