Personal Injury Motor Vehicle Collision

On November 13th, 2019, at about 5:23 PM, members of the Tompkins County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a one-car motor vehicle crash in the 100 block of Hornbrook Road in the Town of Danby.

Upon arrival, deputies determined that the vehicle traveling southwesterly on Hornbrook Road had crossed over the opposing lane, off the roadway, and down an embankment where the vehicle struck a tree and came to rest.  There were three unrestrained minors in the rear of the vehicle, two of which were ejected.

The operator and pediatric patients were transported to area hospitals for injuries sustained in the crash and one front-seat passenger refused further treatment at the scene.  Charges are pending further investigation at this time.

The Sheriff’s Office was assisted at the scene by Danby Fire, West Danby Fire, and Bangs Ambulance.
