Narcotics Arrest

On January 16, 2020 at 1:58 AM, Tompkins County Sheriff's Deputies conducted a traffic stop on N. Triphammer Road in the Village of Cayuga Heights after observing the vehicle failing to keep right and failing to signal lane change.  During the course of the investigation, passenger Chelsea L. KUSS, age 29 of Ithaca, NY admitted to possessing drug paraphernalia.  A further search of the vehicle and KUSS resulted in the discovery of four small baggies containing suspected cocaine. 

KUSS was charged with one count of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Seventh Degree (Class A Misdemeanor).  KUSS was released on an appearance ticket ordering KUSS to return to the Village of Cayuga Heights Court on January 21, 2020 at 6:00 PM.  The driver was released on warnings for the traffic violations.
