On August 3rd, 2017 at about 8:50 PM, Deputies responded to the intersection of Auburn Road and Woodsedge Drive in the Town of Lansing for a personal injury motor vehicle accident.  Deputies determined that a female driving a Blue Subaru was traveling west on Auburn Road and attempted to make a left turn onto Woodsedge Drive.  The driver failed to make a safe turn and drove into the ditch.

The driver was identified as Palmyra M RAMIREZ (Age 63 of Lansing).  RAMIREZ sustained minor injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital.  Deputies observed a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage on her breath.  RAMIREZ was subsequently arrested for DWI, and she refused to submit to a blood test.

RAMIREZ was charged with Driving While Intoxicated, Refusal to Submit to Test, Failed to Keep Right, and No Seat Belt.  She is set to appear in the Town of Lansing Court on August 31st, 2017 at 3:00 PM.
