
On June 23rd, 2019 at 2:28 AM, Tompkins County Sheriff's Deputies were on patrol on Swamp College Road in the Town of Ulysses. While on patrol, deputies observed a gray pickup truck failing to maintain to keep right of center and failing to use turn signals. Deputies conducted a stop on the vehicle on Swamp College Road near Trumansburg Road and spoke with the driver, Joseph D. Cronk, age 44 of Trumansburg. During their investigation, deputies observed signs of impairment and conducted a DWI Investigation which resulted in Cronks arrest for Driving While Intoxicated.
Cronk was charged with Failure to Keep Right (Traffic Infraction), Failing to Use Turn Signal (Traffic Infraction), Driving While Intoxicated (Unclassified Misdemeanor), Driving While Intoxicated with a BAC of .08% or Greater (Unclassified Misdemeanor) and Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated with a BAC of .18% or Greater. Cronk was issued traffic tickets ordering him to return to the Town of Ulysses Court at a later date.
