Aggravated DWI Accident Arrest

On June 23rd, 2019 at 4:10 AM, Tompkins County Sheriff's Deputies responded to the intersection of Warren Road and Cherry Road in the Town of Lansing for a property damage accident.  Deputies investigated the accident scene upon arrival and spoke with the driver, Evitermo L. Cuamba, age 32 of Lansing, N.Y.  During the course of their investigation, deputies observed signs of impairment on Cuamba and conducted a DWI Investigation which resulted in Cuambas arrest for Driving While Intoxicated.

 

Cuamba was charged with Failing to Stop at Stop Sign (Traffic Infraction), Failure to Keep Right (Traffic Infraction), Driving While Intoxicated (Unclassified Misdemeanor), Driving While Intoxicated with a BAC of .08% or Greater (Unclassified Misdemeanor) and Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated with a BAC of .18% or Greater (Unclassified Misdemeanor).  Cuamba was released traffic tickets ordering him to return to the Town of Lansing Court at a later date.
