Narcotics/Methamphetamine Arrest

On January 19th, 2018 at 6:58 PM, Tompkins County Sheriff’s Deputies were on patrol on Five Mile Drive in the Town of Ithaca.  While on patrol, deputies conducted a traffic stop on 2005 Subaru Legacy for a minor equipment violation.  Deputies interviewed the driver, Christina E. Oxley, age 40 of Ithaca, NY and the passenger Christopher E. Trawick, age 40 of Newfield, NY.  During the course of the investigation, deputies learned that there were narcotics and narcotic paraphernalia inside the vehicle.  Deputies conducted a search which yielded methamphetamine, precursors to manufacture methamphetamine, marihuana amongst several other narcotic related equipment.

Deputies charged Oxley with Inadequate Head Lamp (violation), Unlawful Possession of Marihuana (Violation), Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Seventh Degree (Class A Misdemeanor), Criminal Use of Drug Paraphernalia (Class A Misdemeanor) and Criminal Possession of Precursors to Manufacture Methamphetamine (Class E Felony).

Deputies charged Trawick with two counts of Criminal Use of Drug Paraphernalia (Class A Misdemeanors) and Criminal Possession of Precursors to Manufacture Methamphetamine (Class E Felony).

Both Trawick and Oxley were released on appearance ticket and ordered to return to the Ithaca Town Court at a later date.
